Assembly Guide
Most products from JardinSilence arrive partially assembled to help protect components during shipping while keeping setup as simple as possible for customers.
We understand that many customers want a straightforward setup experience — not a complicated project. For that reason, key components are pre-assembled whenever possible, and most customers complete setup using basic household tools in approximately 30 to 60 minutes.
If you need help at any point, contact our support team at support@jardinsilence.com and we will be happy to assist you.
What Comes Pre-Assembled
Depending on the product model, many major components may already be assembled before shipment, including:
- Main frame sections
- Rear wheel and drivetrain components
- Electrical wiring connections
- Brake cable routing
- Battery mounting hardware
This helps reduce setup complexity and minimizes the amount of heavy assembly required after delivery.
Components You May Need to Attach
After unboxing, some final assembly steps may still be required, including:
- Front wheel installation
- Handlebar alignment
- Seat post and saddle installation
- Pedal installation
- Basket or accessory mounting
- Display or control panel connection
- Brake adjustment and inspection
All required hardware and standard assembly tools are included unless otherwise noted in the product manual.
A printed instruction manual is included with your order and should always be used as the primary setup reference for your specific model.
Before You Begin
1. Have a Second Person Available
Many products are large and heavy once packaged. We strongly recommend having another person assist with moving, lifting, or stabilizing the unit during unboxing and setup.
2. Inspect the Packaging and Components
Before assembly:
- Check the box for visible shipping damage
- Inspect components carefully after opening
- Do not discard packaging immediately
If anything appears damaged or missing, contact support@jardinsilence.com within 48 hours and include photos.
3. Organize All Parts
Lay out all included parts and hardware before beginning assembly.
Compare included components with the parts list provided in your manual to confirm nothing is missing.
4. Read the Included Manual
Assembly procedures may vary slightly between models.
Your printed manual contains the most accurate information regarding:
- Hardware placement
- Tightening instructions
- Torque recommendations
- Safety procedures
General Assembly Overview
The exact process varies by model, but setup typically follows these steps:
Step 1 — Install the Front Wheel
Secure the front wheel according to the instructions in your manual and ensure all fasteners are tightened evenly.
Step 2 — Attach the Handlebars
Align the handlebars straight with the front wheel and tighten the stem hardware securely without overtightening.
Step 3 — Install the Seat Post and Saddle
Adjust the seat height to a comfortable riding position and confirm the seat post remains above the minimum insertion marking.
Step 4 — Install the Pedals
Pedals are directional:
- Right pedal tightens clockwise
- Left pedal tightens counter-clockwise
Always begin threading by hand before fully tightening with a wrench.
Step 5 — Check Brake Function
Confirm that brake levers engage properly and stop the wheels securely before riding.
Brake inspection is one of the most important safety steps during assembly.
Step 6 — Connect Electrical Components
Connect display cables or electrical connectors according to the manual and confirm all connections are fully seated.
Step 7 — Attach Accessories
Install baskets, racks, or included accessories using the supplied hardware.
Do not exceed any stated weight limits for mounted accessories.
Pre-Ride Safety Checklist
Before first use, confirm the following:

- Brakes engage properly
- Pedals are fully tightened
- Tires are inflated to recommended pressure
- Battery is properly installed
- Electrical connections are secure
- Display or controls power on normally
- No loose hardware or unusual movement is present
Do not operate the product until all safety checks are completed.
Tips for First-Time Riders
If you are unfamiliar with larger mobility or outdoor riding products, take time to practice gradually in a safe, open area.
Helpful tips include:
- Start at lower assist or speed settings if applicable
- Practice turning and stopping in a flat open space
- Become comfortable with handling before riding in busy areas
- Review all safety instructions in your manual before first use
Most customers become comfortable after a short adjustment period.
